The Ferryside Signal Box Preservation Society is looking for local people who would be willing to be interviewed and recorded on video sharing their memories, stories, photographs, or family connections relating to Ferryside Signal Box and the railway.
Thanks to grant funding, we are creating a permanent collection of local memories to help preserve the history of the signal box and the important role it played in our community. Subject to agreeing a lease with Network Rail, these recordings will form part of future displays within the Signal Box Museum.
The oral histories and video recordings will also be used in a travelling exhibition that can be shared with local schools, community groups, and future generations.
Whether you worked on the railway, have family connections to it, remember the signal box from years gone by, or simply have a story to tell, we would love to hear from you.
Please contact us on Diane on 07929 783576 or email us at sos@ferryside.wales to find out more or register your interest.
Every memory helps us preserve an important part of Ferryside’s heritage.
