***RIVER TOWY YACHT CLUB – ‘SAILORS & SANTA’ XMAS EVENT***

RTYC is proud to invite our members to join us for a great festive fund raising night on Saturday 14th December, from 7pm.
The evening will start with an amazing and inspiring talk and presentation by our very own Hugh Evans, called “Sailing the Dream”, describing his circumnavigation adventures and experiences. Building on many decades of sailing experience, their move to Ferryside was the catalyst for Hugh and family to take their sailing dream to the next level. Progressing up through larger and more sweaworthy craft, and increasingly ambitious voyages, their sailing spanned the Welsh Coast, Ireland, and Brittany. But then came the big one – sailing around the world in their 38foot Westerly Oceanranger !
Following a great feed of superb catering from our willing galley slaves, the evening of fun will carry on with a mix of traditional tunes, festive favourites, and even a few rousing sea shanties, courtesy of live music by local folk favourites – Crowsfoot.
Our usual fund raising fun to support our club will include a great raffle, and our fantastic bar service will do us proud and make the evening go with bang.
